Etifeddiaeth, meaning legacy in welsh, is a rediscovery of a space close to my heart; a home that once belonged to my late Taid (Grandad). After the deterioration of his health, he moved out of the farm house where he spent his life working and moved into the local village. This left the house, Swn Y Nant, unoccupied and left abandoned and engulfed by the welsh landscape.

Here I attempt to reconnect with the space after being disassociated with it. Through visual exploration of the house I wanted to show the details and marks left behind in order to build a narrative of human presence through heavily absent images. Etifeddiaeth deals with memory, loss, absence and attempts to be contemplative of the space, allowing the atmosphere to fill the images.
